MUMBAI: DG2L Technologies has launched the N100 MPEG2 SD entry level set top box (STB) for Rs 1500.

DG2L states that its STB can be customised for cable, satellite, IPTV as well as terrestrial networks.

DG2L CEO Ankur Sheth says, "With the ever increasing numbers of pay TV subscribers, we are pleased to offer our STBs at such a competitive price and provide customers with specific customisation rights on their backyard. Since our development centre is in Pune, the customers will benefit from quicker turnaround times and a robust support structure."

The STB, the company says, supports all DVB/MPEG-2 compliant transmissions. It has a 32 bit Mips CPU. A dedicated transport RISC based demultiplexer engine and DVB descrambler meet most DVB pay TV specifications and leave the CPU free to handle other tasks.

The STB gives the consumer a route to production ready, entry level STBs with hardware and software turnkey solutions for digital satellite, cable and terrestrial networks. DG2L holds a 49 per cent stake in digital cinema network UFO International.
