DELHI: Star today announced the promotion of Sanjay Jain as
chief financial officer of Star India with immediate effect.
Jain, who joined Star India in September 2005 as its deputy
CFO, will report to Star India COO Uday Shankar.
Jain’s
appointment as CFO follows on the heels of a series of promotions
in the company, including Ajay Vidyasagar as president of
content and new media, Himavat Chaudhuri as general counsel
and Rishi Gaind as SVP, human resources. Star India also recently
appointed Sonali Thakker as EVP, organizational development
and talent management.
Prior
to joining Star, Jain served at General Electric for 11 years,
in a number of positions.
