Disney unveils Pirates merchandise

Mumbai - Disney Consumer Products (DCP) today unveiled Pirates of the Carribean-themed merchandise in celebration of the successful film franchise and its third installment, Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End, due in theaters on 25 May.

The wildly popular Pirates characters and storylines will be brought to life with an all-new expanded assortment of merchandise designed to appeal to all ages including toys, electronics, apparel and accessories, games, books / novels and stationery, costumes, home décor, pet apparel and more.

The products will be showcased during Wal-Mart's 'Season's Hottest Picks', a nationwide summer promotion and they will also be available on various e-shopping websites like ToyRUs.com, Disneyshopping.com, Yellowman.com.

Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer in a screenplay written by Tedd Elliott and Terry Rossio. Its lead cast includes Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keirra Knightley.

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the business segment of The Walt Disney Company that extends the Disney brand to merchandise ranging from apparel, toys, home décor and books to interactive games, food and beverages, stationery, electronics and animation art.
