Cinemax is expanding to the north eastern region. It will be inaugurating its
12th multiplex chain on Friday at Guwahati in Assam. The
multiplex will be opened to the audience with the toast of the season, Spider-Man
3 and the Hindi flick Good Boy Bad Boy. Once operations commence at the multiplex,
the company shall have more than 10,800 seats and 38 screens. According
to the release, this is the first multiplex in state of Assam and the first new
theatre after more than two decades in Guwahati. It claims to offer patrons an
exotic and luxurious experience. The
company has also tied up with a mall developer for a 3-screen multiplex at Vashi,
Navi Mumbai, housing approximately over 900 seats. The company is expecting to
commence its commercial operation on or before end of 2007. |
