BANGALORE: Are telecasting of celebrity wedding a new way
to promote yourself and grab viewers attention for a new entrant
fighting for eyeballs against three big incumbents?
Zee Kannada seems to think so and so they will be providing
live coverage of the wedding reception of what is claimed
to be the most talked about marriage of the Kannada Film Industry.
Hatrick Director Prem and Crazy Queen Rakshita will
get hitched Thursday live from Bangalore's Padmavathi &
Meenakshi Kalyana Mantapa.
"This is a first of its kind in Kannada television history,"
avers Zee Kannada's Varsha Gowda. The channel says that it
is providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for many Kannadigas
to witness the wedding reception of famous film celebrities.
As is the norm with celebrity weddings, the event is expected
to be attended by big-wigs from the film industry, politicians
and the who's who of Karnataka. Zee has also invited viewers
to SMS their wishes to ZK NM followed by the message to 7575. |
