MUMBAI: With less than a week to go for the kick off to the
cricket World Cup one of the International Cricket Council's
(ICC) partners LG Electronics is using the event to push its
colour television range.
LG VP sales and marketing Girish V Rao says, "As the
official sponsor of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, LG will
invest Rs. 500 million in marketing initiatives.
"We are looking at increasing our Colour TV sales by 75
per cent and flat panel display (PDP/LCD) sales by 300 per cent.
"In terms of product launches, we have unveiled a limited
edition Color TV series which will be available at major cities
across India starting 6th March till stocks last."
Thelimited edition LG Cricket Series range televisions are
available in three models, including one from LG 's sleek
and stylish Slim range . All these models aim to reflect LG's
association with the Cricket World Cup 2007 .
These televisions are feature XD technology which ensures
picture clarity and theatre surround sound. The patented 'Golden
Eye' technology in these televisions makes for a strain free
viewing experience.
The Slim TV model available in this range has aesthetics
which are in sync with the color of a cricket ball and is
30% slimmer than normal CRT TVs. This model is priced at Rs.
19,990.
The other two models available in this limited edition model
also combine the best in technology with stylish looks that
are sure to appeal to cricket fans. These Models are available
in a visually appealing Silver (Marvel Finish) and Golden
Willow (Wooden finish). These televisions are priced at Rs.
17290.
