MUMBAI: Ministry of Tourism, India minister - tourism and
culture Ambika Soni unveiled German Edition of the worldwide
National Geographic magazine Mythical India, a 156-page
special edition, at the international tourism fair, ITB 2007
held in Berlin.
Mythical India is the 8th issue of the "Collector's
Edition" that appears in Germany and is aimed specifically
at collectors.

This special edition showcases the many facets of India through
reports and photo series, including stories on the high-tech
city Bangalore, on a Hindu celebration and the pilgrimages,
on Bollywood and its booming film industry, but also on the
poverty that still affects a large part of the population.
Soni said, "National Geographic is a very distinguished
publication and its presentation of India, in all its ramifications,
will add immense value to India as a tourism destination."

Culture Minister of India was at the Bertelsmann Headquarters
in Berlin for the launch of the magazine and it is an honour
