'Cricket Star' calls for participation for season 2

BANGALORE: Reality show Cricket Star is inviting entries for its second season. Participants can register at www.cricketstar.tv.

The entries must be submitted by the last week of July.

Kapil Dev the chief selector of the all India talent hunt being highly impressed with the passion and commitment of the budding cricketers, has awarded scholarships to Samandeep Singh and Mohammed Abbas to pursue their cricket dreams. Robin Singh will coach the contestants for the second season as well.

The winner of season one of Cricket Star 19-year old Sukhvir Singh flew to England recently to receive coaching at the Leicestershire County Cricket Club.

Runner up Dinesh Salunke from Mumbai received contract to play for Air India and will also be going to the UK to play club cricket.

Hosted by Shweta Salve and cricketer Ajay Jadeja, the show has 23 contestants chosen from across the country to be put in an academy headed by Robin Singh. The winner stnad to win a contract with a cricket club in UK and cash prizes.
