Microsoft kicks off consumer promotion for Xbox 360

MUMBAI: Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division has announced an offer around its gaming and digital entertainment system - Xbox 360.

Gamers can bring an old gaming console and exchange it for a brand new Xbox 360 at a price of Rs.15,990 lower by Rs.4,000 from the market price.

According to an official release, the consumer promotion is backed by print advertising and point of purchase execution at over 1200 Xbox 360 outlets in the country. An all new price range has also been introduced for the Xbox 360 gaming titles. Microsoft's best selling gaming title Dead or Alive will now be available at Rs.999 coupled with Forza Motorsport 2 and Gears of War at Rs.1,895.


Microsoft Country manager entertainment and services division Mohit Anand said, "Xbox 360 is the most powerful video game and entertainment system today. We expect this promotion to further stimulate the gaming boom in India by giving gamers an attractive price point to get hold of their very own Xbox 360 console. More so as gaming becomes a more integral part of the digital lifestyle today, we are confident more and more consumers will take advantage of this promotion."

Anand further added, "The new pricing has been geared to help expand the market and enable more people to explore gaming as a digital entertainment option. We expect a tremendous response from gamers, who can now get hold of an exciting range of gaming titles."
