Buoyed up by the of number news channels in the TV industry, Century Communication
Ltd. (CCL) is set to foray into broadcasting. CCL plans to launch a spiritual
channel, Pragya. Slated to be launched
by the end of July, the channel will have a mixed programme format of entertainament,
interactive and spiritual based shows, a source close to the developments has
told indiandiantelevision.com. The source also confirmed that the spiritual
based channel will be free-to-air and will be available worldwide. "Though there
is so much of stress in our fast life in the urban cities, the TV industry is
driven by news and saas-bahu serials. Pragya will be different in its programme
content as it will satisfy the spiritual hunger of the urban and fast lifestyle,"
an official of Pragya who refused to be quoted said.
