MUMBAI: Sun TV Network's subsidiary South Asia FM Ltd has launched its radio station
in Bhubaneshwar. The station is also available in Cuttack. The
new addition takes the total number of South Asia FM's stations to eight with
its earlier existence in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore,
Hyderabad and Jaipur. With
the tagline Jhoomo Jameiki Jhommo (meaning dance with passion), the Orissa
edition will have fun cheeky programmes which will reflect and cater to the local
mass. SFM,
project head Neha Narayanan informs that the station will have 80 per cent Bollywood
and 20 per cent Oriya content, strictly following the contemporary hits radio
(CHR) format.
She says," On the same fabric of the other SFM stations, Bhubaneshwar will
be localised in its content with more interactive shows and on-ground activities.
We are the voice of the people which caters to the youth."
The station will give away gold coins to every listener for one week.
Shows
like Guru Ho Jaa Shuru, Lift Karade, astro-based show Yeh Tara Woh Tara,
battle of sexes Hum Tum Ka Panga, evening shows Recharge and Masti
Ka Pathsala and the late night show Love Ka Kidda are the USP of the
stations, says Narayanan. The
company holds licences for 45 FM Radio Stations across India, and will be one
of the largest radio broadcasters in India when all the remaining 37 stations
becomes operational. |
