| MUMBAI:
Jump TV, an online broadcaster which specializes in the distribution of ethnic
channels, will now be available in the US on AOL video. The
AOL Video users in the US will now have an access to over 60 television channels
from countries all over the world. Channels
like Abu Dhabi TV from the United Arab Emirates, Hum TV from Pakistan, Kenya's
KBC Channel 1, S1 News in India, and Tele Universo Canal 29 from the Dominican
Republic among many will be available on the new international section on the
AOL video portal. Currently, more than 60 channels from almost 30 countries are
available through AOL video. This
launch coincides with Jump TV shifting its business model in the US towards free-to-view
which was earlier subscription based. |
