MUMBAI:
For the first time ever in Indian television, the winner of
a talent hunt show will drive home a Mercedes Benz. Amrita
TV is offering the coveted car as the grand prize for its
music talent hunt show Super Star Global.
 Super
Star Global has upped the ante this time by planning to hold auditions in
different cities of the world.
After
receiving feedback from its viewers in US, UK, Europe and
Middle East, the show has decided to conduct auditions at
California, London, Dubai, Bangalore and different cities
in Kerala.
The
show, to be aired from July 2007, will try to differentiate itself by mounting
new sets and focusing on innovation from its earlier shows Super Star and
Super Star Junior. The
auditions for California are scheduled on 6 July, London on 8 July, Dubai on 22
June, Bangalore on June 24 and spread over June and July in centers across Kerala. The
channel has been in the news when at the recently held Kerala State Government
Awards for excellence in television, Amrita TV bagged 11 awards - the highest
amongst all Malayalam TV channels. |
