Globo TV in deal with Sky for soccer show

MUMBAI: Brazilian TV content distributor Globo TV Sports has signed a partnership deal with UK broadcaster Sky Sports to broadcast Footbrazil, across the UK and Ireland.

Already present in more than 90 countries, Footbrazil is a weekly television magazine, transmitted via satellite, with material in English prepared especially for the international market. It covers behind-the-scenes, training, standings and player profiles for the Brazilian Championship.

Sky Sports viewers can follow all that is happening in Brazilian clubs, learn about the championships, watch exclusive interviews with players and coaches sought after on international fields. Footbrazil has a journalistic team from TV Globo, which has covered the major national and international sporting events for more than 30 years.

The programme is being broadcast weekly on Tuesdays. With more than eight million Sky subscribers, Sky Sports offers over 39,000 hours of coverage across five channels. Sky Sports can also be seen in Scotland, Wales and Ireland, besides England.
