Close on the heels of appointment of a new programming head and a distribution
head, BAG Films Ltd has announced that journalist-cum-scriptwriter Mushtaq Sheikh
has joined as creative director for its upcoming glamour channel in B.A.G Group.
Commenting
on Sheikh's appointment, BAG Films MD Anurradha Prasad said, "Mushtaq brings
with him well-rounded experience from both films and television, which will prove
beneficial for our channel. He is also a journalist-cum-scriptwriter, hence he
has a good understanding of the medium." Sheikh
has earlier been a scriptwriter with Balaji telefilms. He has written a book on
Shah Rukh Khan, titled Still Reading Khan and recently wrote the screenplay
for Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om. Prasad
also added that they have begun ideating and conceptualizing for the still to
be named glamour channel, which will go on air in October. |
