| MUMBAI:
Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has announced the promotion of Annie
Yim to executive director of licensing, Greater China. The
announcement was made by SPTI SVP distribution Asia Ross Pollack, and VP and GM
Jiande Chen, in The People's Republic of China. "Annie
has had an impressive track record in handling our licensing businesses in Hong
Kong, Taiwan and Korea, and this promotion is in recognition of our belief in
her ability to further our business expansion and client servicing activities
in Greater China," said Pollack. Reporting
to both Pollack and Chen, Yim will relocate from Hong Kong to Beijing. In her
new position, she will lead all of SPTI's licensing efforts in the People's Republic
of China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
"We're thrilled that Annie has accepted this promotion and we look to her
sales expertise and knowledge of the market as she leads our licensing efforts
in Greater China," added Chen.
Prior
to her promotion, Yim was director, licensing, Asia, since 2005, based in Hong
Kong. In that role, she lead the licensing of Sony Pictures Entertainment's film
and television production to traditional television and new media outlets in Hong
Kong, Taiwan, regional clients and other key Asian territories. She
has also worked with Emphasis Limited in Hong Kong as acquisitions and sales executive.
She has held positions in Worldwide Television News Corporation and Federal Express.
