MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has announced the promotion of Annie Yim to executive director of licensing, Greater China.

The announcement was made by SPTI SVP distribution Asia Ross Pollack, and VP and GM Jiande Chen, in The People's Republic of China.

"Annie has had an impressive track record in handling our licensing businesses in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea, and this promotion is in recognition of our belief in her ability to further our business expansion and client servicing activities in Greater China," said Pollack.

Reporting to both Pollack and Chen, Yim will relocate from Hong Kong to Beijing. In her new position, she will lead all of SPTI's licensing efforts in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

"We're thrilled that Annie has accepted this promotion and we look to her sales expertise and knowledge of the market as she leads our licensing efforts in Greater China," added Chen.

Prior to her promotion, Yim was director, licensing, Asia, since 2005, based in Hong Kong. In that role, she lead the licensing of Sony Pictures Entertainment's film and television production to traditional television and new media outlets in Hong Kong, Taiwan, regional clients and other key Asian territories.

She has also worked with Emphasis Limited in Hong Kong as acquisitions and sales executive. She has held positions in Worldwide Television News Corporation and Federal Express.
