MUMBAI:
After nearly 120 episodes spread over three months, Amrita
TV's reality TV show Closeup Super Dancer has crowned
Prasanth as the winner.
He
wins a Maruti Suzuki Swift, while the first runner-up Anish
gets a Maruti Alto and the second runner up Shamna takes home
a cash prize of Rs 100000.
An
official release states that the show had nearly 5000 aspirants,
out of which the 20 contestants were shortlisted to compete
and four of them reached the finals through public SMS voting.
A
special appreciation award of Rs 25,000 was awarded by TV
to Vandana, who despite being physically challenged with one
leg had earlier participated in the auditions of Super
Dancer.
The
grand finale episode also featured dance performances by actors
such as Meghna Naidu, Mohini, Aravindar, Nishant Sagar along
with top ten contestants of the reality show.
The
channel will soon kick-off Super Dancer Junior, a talent
hunt for children in the 10-15 age group with auditions in
Bangalore and Kerala and it will be aired from September.
