MUMBAI:Amrita
TV is launching Raga Ratnam Junior, a carnatic music
talent hunt for children in the 10-15 age group.
Scheduled
for telecast from September, the show is positioned for a
primetime slot in weekend.
Raga
Ratnam Junior will provide opportunities for children
inclined to classical music to nurture and showcase their
talent to a global audience, informs an official release.
The show is planned to comprise classical, semi-classical,
and instrumental rounds as also jugalbandi, fusion rounds.
Amrita
TV has also announced auditions at Chennai, Bangalore,Thrissur
and Trivandrum. The last date to receive SMS registrations
is 25 Aug.
The
show has also roped in a permanent jury of eminent musicians
and stalwarts from the field of Carnatic music who will also
groom and counsel the contestants.
