NEW DELHI: Asia Pacific's dominant Video on-Demand (VoD) channel Anytime, which recently announced launch of Anytime on Volt in collaboration with Australia’s Fairfax Digital, has acquired subscription video-on-demand rights, and internet distribution rights apart from traditional video-on-demand rights of feature films of NBC Universal International TV Distribution.

The new expanded multiple-year agreement between Anytime and NBC covers multiple territories across the Asia Pacific region, reflecting the addition of two new territories, India and China.

Highlights of motion pictures included in the agreement are Children of Men, The Holiday and The Good Shepherd, as well as the upcoming Evan Almighty, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and The Bourne Ultimatum, as well as titles from NBC Universal’s library of more than 4,000 feature films.

Anytime is Asia Pacific’s dominant VoD channel delivered to consumers over IPTV, broadband and digital cable networks. Anytime has output deals and access to the libraries of five of Hollywood’s leading studios — Fox, Sony, Warner, NBC Universal and Buena Vista (Disney) International Television — and licenses with regional content providers like Celestial Pictures, Icon Film Distribution.

Chaired by Greg Coote, Anytime’s shareholder’s include Columbia Pictures Entertainment Holdings Inc. (Sony), Fox Media Services Inc., Intel Capital, Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., YTC Group (a Singapore based multinational conglomerate), and the Macquarie Bank Group.
