MUMBA:
The second edition of the conference on sport and technology will be held on 23
February in London. The event will be held in association with digital media platform
provider BT Media and Broadcast.
Speakers from
Fifa, BT, BBC Sport, Hawk-Eye Innovations Sportev and Premium TV and other firms
will giving attendees an insight to what is hot and what is not in the sport and
technology sphere.
One panel discussion is called The High Definition Challenge. The panel
will discuss the current state of play in the HDTV industry. It will address questions
such as who are the main players and market leaders? When will HDTV really take
off? What are the advantages for consumers? What are the advantages for the rights
owners? How does HD enhance sports event coverage? Is it must-have technology
or just nice-to-have? What are the implications for the facilities industry?
