Bollywood biggies to perform at Sahara One Sangeet Awards

MUMBAI: PDM International today announced the performers for the second Sahara One Sangeet Awards 2005, which include Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee amongst others.

Sahara One Sangeet Awards 2005 is scheduled to be held in the United States on 24 September, 2005 at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California.



Other artists who will be performing at the Awards are Shankar Mahadevan and Pakistani pop sensation Faakhir.



The Sangeet Awards 2005 will be hosted by Shaan, who will be accompanied by actor and VJ Anusha Dandekar.

Choreographer Shiamak Davar will bring the spectacular performances to life with his stylised choreography, eye-catching costumes and innovative props. Over fifteen thousand people are expected to attend the same. Close to 120 members from the Indian film and music fraternity will come together in one spirit to celebrate the richness of Indian music on a global platform.

While announcing the inclusion of Salman Khan as one of the performers at the Sahara One Sangeet Awards 2005, PDM International managing director and CEO Sanjay Lal said, "It has been our endeavor to give the music industry its due recognition and respect... not only from their fans but also from the biggest names in Indian cinema. The success of Indian cinema can be largely attributed to the music in films, and silver screens superstars will join us at the Sahara One Sangeet Awards 2005 to honour musical excellence."

The second Sahara One Sangeet Awards will be telecast on Sahara One Television.

PDM International has partnered with industry experts such as Mehta Entertainment Inc. US, Sohail Khan Entertainment, Morani and Soorma of Cineyug Entertainment and Showcraft Productions for the awards.
