MUMBAI: Sahara One Motion Pictures has appointed Sharang Sharma as head of distribution. He will look after the distribution, acquisition and syndication of movies in India and in the international market.

Sharma, who was earlier with Sony Pictures Entertainment India as national distribution manager, will be reporting to Sahara One Motion Pictures chief operating officer Sandeep Bhargava.

Speaking to Indiantelevision.com, Sahara India Mass Communication CEO Shantonu Aditya says, "Sharang Sharma will be leading domestic distribution, international sales and acquisitions for Sahara One Motion Pictures."

Sharma says, "I am quite excited to join Sahara One Motion Pictures and am looking forward to working with them since they are one of the most prolific production movie houses in India."

Sharma joined Sahara One Motion Pictures on 21 October, 2005.
