MUMBAI: Pioneer in online content delivery, the California-based Wi-Fi TV Inc.has invited television, cable and original channel owners to join the Wi-FiTV.com global Internet delivery platform for television. Currently, viewers can watch live TV from over 50 countries on topics ranging from music to news to finance on the Wi-Fi TV Virtual Player.

According to an official release, Wi-Fi TV Inc. announced the following details of its Wi-Fi TV Channel Partner Programs for www.Wi-FiTV.com:

I) Wi-Fi TV Channel Partner Program / Premium Channels Program

a) Wi-Fi TV Inc. will carry, at no charge to the content provider, links to any live TV channel that can provide a Windows Media, Real Player or Flash feed of its channel and sufficient bandwidth to reliably deliver its channel to Wi-Fi TV Inc users. The advantage to the Channel provider is an expanded viewer base potentially resulting in a higher value for its paid advertising.

b) Wi-Fi TV Inc. will carry, on a revenue sharing basis, links to premium channels. The fee to be charged and the revenue split will be determined on a case by case basis. Wi-Fi TV Inc. has the capability to carry any channel available by satellite and provide the necessary encoding and bandwidth to carry the channel.

II) Wi-Fi TV Original Channel Partnerships

These partnerships include a distribution agreement with a third party whereby Wi-Fi TV is the only place on the Internet that the partner TV station is available and the station content and features will be created with the advice and involvement of Wi-Fi TV Inc.

The monthly subscription price for unlimited access to basic channels and services is 99 cents per month on a one-year prepaid subscription, the media release adds.
