Sahara acquires TV rights for 'Lakshya', 'Page 3'

MUMBAI: Sahara has acquired the television telecast rights of Lakshya from UTV Software Communications for Rs 45 million.

The rights are for a period of seven years. Admits Sahara head of Motion Pictures Sandeep Bhargava: "We have acquired the rights for Rs 45 million."

 

Lakshya was released last year and the movie grossed Rs 380 million. UTV is still to sell the TV rights of Swades, its other co-produced movie.

 
 

Sahara has also acquired satellite TV rights of Madhur Bhandarkar's Page 3. Earlier, it had announced it had acquired the marketing and distribution rights for the movie.
