Kalasa plans to set up 60 digital theatres by June 2005

MUMBAI: Chennai-based Kalasa Entertainment Media Private Limited (KEMPL) which is into digital delivery of movies in Tamil Nadu is planning to equip 60 theatres in Tamil Nadu with the digital projector system by June 2005. The company is contemplating its entry in the Kerala market as well.

 
 

"Our plan in 2005 is to set up the digital projector system in 60 theatres across Tamil Nadu. We have been receiving enquiries from various theatre owners in Kerala. We are analysing the proposals but will take a decision only after getting a foothold in the Tamil Nadu market", offers says KEMPL CEO Ramesh V Subramaniam.

 
 

In Tamil Nadu, Kalasa has its presence in seven theatres - six in Madhurai and one in Coimbatore. The company is in alliance with Mukta Adlabs Digital Exhibition for digital digital delivery of movies in the South.
