Star News airs Musharraf's exclusive interview

MUMBAI: Star News will broadcast an exclusive interview with Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf today. This interview will be broadcast on 15 April at 11:30 and the repeat will air the following day at 9:30 am.

The channel will air the bytes of the interview every hour through the day.

Through the interview with diplomatic editor Jyoti Malhotra in Islamabad, Musharraf expresses his thoughts and opinions on various issues.

He said India and Pakistan have left behind many of the unpleasant events of the last four years and the atmosphere was far more conducive for holding meaningful talks today.

The interview also highlights the journey from Agra to Delhi. Musharraf noted that today "the international, regional and bilateral situation" is vastly different from what it was four years ago.

The interview was recorded on 14 April. The conversation between Musharraf and the diplomatic editor also touches upon Manmohan Singh, his retirement plans and also Pakistani actresses in India.
