MUMBAI: The Interactive Channel (TIC) has started beaming in Hong Kong on the Hong Kong Cable TV. The channel, which is initially available from 8 pm to 6 pm, will be converted as a 24-hour network on 1 December.

According to TIC founder chairman Rober Chua, TIC utilises the convergence of broadcast TV, radio, internet and mobile networking technologies to create infotainment-based programming.

For the interactive platform, TIC also makes use of mobile phones and the internet. The channel's website www.tictv.com also plays a crucial role in enhancing the interactivity feature by hosting various games.

According to Hong Kong Cable TV executive director Eric Lo, "TIC fits well with the profile of our viewers who are technology savvy, and I am confident that the channel will be welcomed by many."

The channel's programming line up include iTalk Live, a daily show that will incorporate SMS messaging; Election Live, to cover the local elections; and Game Guru, among others.
