Glassman appointed prog director Discovery

MUMBAI: Discovery has tapped Laura Glassman as the
director of programming for it's Lifestyle Networks. Glassman will
oversee programme development and sourcing for Discovery Network Asia's
three lifestyle networks in the region.
"Laura's considerable experience in real-world
entertainment production is a tremendous asset to our lifestyle networks,"
Discovery Networks Asia VP content and creative services James Gibbons
was quoted in a media report as saying. He also said that Glassman
will lead their team as they were gearing up to launch their new lifestyle
portfolio and re-brand Discovery Travel and Adventure, Discovery Health
and Discovery H&L.
Glassman was earlier the producer of the second season of National
Geographic's Snake Wranglers and was formerly the supervising
producer of National Geographic Explorer.
