Aaj Tak to air 'Mohobat Ka Taj' as a tribute to Taj Mahal on its 350th anniv.

MUMBAI: Aaj Tak has lined up a three day special to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the Taj Mahal, called Mohobat ka Taj. This will showcases special programmes, which celebrates the beauty of Taj from 25 September to 27 September.     

The white marble mausoleum in Agra has become the monument of a man's love for a woman. In their programme Ek Duje Ke Liye celebrity couples from different fields like Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi, Amjad Ali Khan-Subbha Laxmi Khan, Anjali Bhagwat-Mandar Bhagwat, Ashish Soni-Misha Grewal will trace their love story in the backdrop of the world's finest tribute to love.

Romance Ke Naam Par will unravel stories, some well known, others unknown, of things that people did to express their love. The show will also look at Mumtaz Mahal's makbara in Burhanpur, Mandu Rani Roopwati's Palace, hanging gardens of Babylon, Dashrat Majhi a poor peasant who dug a tunnel through a mountain as a tribute to his wife and also the story of Hyderabad city which was built by a king for his wife.

Babul Supriyo, Surendra Sharma and Ashok Chakradhar will revive the music and humor attached with Taj Mahal and take viewers on a fun-filled ride.

Aaj Tak has also lined up a special programme on the epic movie Taj Mahal- An Eternal Love Story produced and directed by Akbar Khan. Hariharan will give the first public performance of the songs written in the movie on the Taj. The cast of the movie - Manisha Koirala, Zulfikar Syed and Sonia Jehan, will talk about their experience during the making of the film.

Aaj Tak will also involve viewers in Deewana Dil -a segment based on viewer responses, where people will talk about the craziest thing they have done for love.

Besides the above mentioned special programmes there will be regular features from Agra on various issues concerning Taj Mahal. The love-saga will culminate in a half-hour special Vishesh on Monday, which will capsulate the best moments of Mohabat ka Taj.

The programme schedule for Mohabat ka Taj is as follows: Romance Ke Naam Par will be aired on 25 September at 8:30 pm. Ek Duje Ke Liye will air on 26 September at 9:30 am. The poetry on Taj Mahal, Taj in Bollywood will air on 26 September at 8:30 pm. Deewana Dil will air all day on 26 September. Stars of 'Taj Mahal' and musical recitation by Hariharan will air on 27 September will air at 8:30 am. And Vishesh- Best of 350 years coverage will air on 27 September at 9:30 pm.
