| The vast infrastructure already available with BSNL
shall be used to provide these services to the subscribers as per
media reports. Standard copper wire shall be used instead fiber optic
cable since the network is already available and is much cheaper.
The speed band will be between 256 and 512 kbps, since company sources
say that only speeds in excess of 256 kbps can really be termed as
high speed.
Dial up will not be necessary, since internet will be always on,
for which a fixed monthly fee will be charged.
