AIR to air Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan Golden Jubilee special

MUMBAI: DD Bharati celebrated the Golden Jubilee Year of Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan with elan.

Pubcaster's radio arm, All India Radio had organised morning and evening concerts at 28 places on 9 and 10 October, 2004 featuring renowned artists of India.

The recording of these concerts will be telecast on DD Bharati from 14 November 2004 to 3 January 2005 at 9 PM

In addition to Solo recitals, a combination of Hindustani and Carnatic Music was presented by the Violin maestro Dr. Amt. N. Rajam and renowned flutist Dr. N. Ramani at the event, says an official release.

Another attraction, says the release, was the percussion ensemble - Tall Vadya Kacheri, led by the famous mridang artiste Dr Yella Venkateswara Rao and AIR Orchestra presented by the artists of Delhi and Chennai.
