MUMBAI: Small pay television license holders in Hong Kong, Hong Kong's Yes Television and Taiwan's TV plus have decided to say good bye to the country's pay TV market.

It is learnt that the high costs and competition prevailing in the market have forced the channels to take such a grave step.

The departure of TV Plus and Yes TV will see the exit of four pay-television operators - dominant player i-Cable Communications Ltd. (ICAB); Television Broadcasts Ltd. (0511.HK) Galaxy Satellite Broadcasting, branded as extv; fixed-line giant PCCW Ltd.'s (PCW) NOW Broadband TV and City Telecom (Hong Kong) Ltd.'s (CTEL) Hong Kong Broadband Network from the Hong Kong market.
