MUMBAI: Communications test solutions provider Acterna has appointed John J. Jones IV as its new vice president of sales and services for the Asia Pacific region.

Jones assumes overall responsibility for sales operations in the region and brings more than 20 years of communications industry experience to Acterna, including 15 years spent living and working in China, India, New Zealand and Australia

Jones replaces Jim Platner, who has completed a four-year expatriate assignment as vice president of Asia-Pacific sales and services. Platner remains with Acterna and returns to the United States where he will join the company's major accounts organization with primary responsibility for directing the Verizon account.
