etc plans to get youth hooked on 'Home Theatre'

MUMBAI: No no, etc isn't geting into electronic goods marketing, but the music channel is all geared to get the debut a new show Home Theatre.

Starting today, 11 March 2004, the one hour show will air every Thursday and Fridays at 7.30 pm

Targeting the youth and the young at heart, Home Theatre aims to provide the viewers with latest information, gossips, previews and reviews of latest Hindi films.

In order to make sure that it has fresh appeal the channel has got in new VJs Amit Khanna and Pracchi Mehta. The duo will ensure that show is fun with their incessant repartee and banter, says a company release.

According to ETC Networks CEO Jagjit Singh Kohli, "This is another step towards youth centric programmes. We will be catering further to the requirements of teenagers and youngsters."

Both Khanna and Mehta will compliment each other with their different personalities and hand out trivia about the film or the artiste before playing the latest songs, says the release.

Home Theatre takes cue from current trend where people go and watch films only after seeing promos and listening to previews and reviews. The show will bring the viewers closer to what's hot and what's not in a unique style.

While VJ Amit won't get into finer detail, Pracchi will talk about details of a films on a set that resembles a living room of an urban couple.

Produced by Fusion Media the bi-weekly fun show highlights the life style of couch potatoes.
