The
segment is a three and hour hours continual mix of live breaking
and headline news, business stories, sport, weather and analysis,
says a company release.
Stout joined CNN International in Hong Kong in 2001 as technology
correspondent and hosted the daily Tech Watch segment on
News biz today. She covered a variety of news topics including Internet
security threats, software piracy, cutting edge robotics, and next-generation
wireless.
High points in her career also include her reports, during the
SARS crisis, about the outbreak's impact on international trade
and travel. Stout has also interviewed newsmakers including the
chief executives of Amazon, Cisco, Dell, eBay, and Samsung Electronics,
adds the release.
Alumnus of Stanford University, where she compeleted bachelors
and masters degree in Communication, Stout has also studied advanced
Mandarin Chinese from Beijing's Qinghua University.
She began her career in journalism in San Francisco at Wired magazine's
online division and later joined the South China Morning Post, where
she founded and wrote the Beijing Byte column. She was also a founding
team member of the Beijing-based Internet portal Sohu.com.
