MUMBAI: Encouraged by the success of the Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - Golden Voice Hunt, Zee is taking its popular music programme Sa Re Ga Ma Pa to Dubai.

According to a Zee press release, the cameras will start rolling in Dubai from 10 to 16 January 2004 for the next round of shooting.

The rounds to be played in this special schedule have been conceived keeping international taste in mind, states the release. The prelim round will start with Song of your Choice (film/non-film song), Sing with Shaan (superhit songs of the last five years), Judges' Choice and Duet round. The finals will have semi- classical theme rounds (happy- romantic), duet songs, pop songs, non-orchestra, and new compositions by judges.

The series will showcase the talents of 32 participants from countries like India, Nepal, UK, USA, UAE, South Africa, Mauritius, Singapore, Australia, Pakistan and Canada. The judges include celebrities like Gulam Ali, Zakir Hussain, Abida Parveen, M M Kreem, Jagjit Singh, Trilok Gurtu, O P Nayyar and Runa Laila.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa won the Music Programme of the Year award at The Indian Telly Awards 2003 in November.

Zee Telefilms' creative director Gajendra Singh has been quoted in a release saying, "We are glad that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will is being shot in Dubai. The venue is appropriate as it proves to be central for participants from all over the world. Dubai Media City, the heart of Dubai, is the location for the shoot.
