 The
45 minute telecast of the of farewell turned out to be a roaring
hit as the Home Box offices's Sex and the City bewitched
its biggest audience ever.
The finale emerge as the second most watched show at that hour
Sunday night, says a company release.
The telecast gave beating all the broadcast networks except ABC,
which drew 17.5 million viewers for its first edition of Super
Millionaire.
It also managed to draw the highest household rating on HBO since
the September 2002 premiere of the fourth season of mob drama The
Sopranos.
Sex and the City, a signature show that established HBO
as a creative powerhouse and the first cable series to win an Emmy
Award for best comedy may just be treading the Hollywood route.
So its not adieu after all.
