'Young and Restless' to stay on CBS for 5 more years

MUMBAI: Top-rated daytime drama The Young and the Restless will be staying on CBS for another five years as the network has secured a five-year extension of broadcast rights. The show is currently in its 32nd season on CBS.

 
 

Eye inked the new long-term license fee agreement with The Young and the Restless producer Sony Pictures Television that will keep the show on CBS through 2009.

 
 

The Young and the Restless has been the most-watched daytime serial for nearly 16 years and currently averages about 5.2 million viewers weekly.

Among the key daytime demo of women 18-49, The Young and the Restless averages a 2.2/15 in women 18-49, down 15 per cent from last year, said a media report.
