 Asianet
will kick off its new year campaign with a host of new year themed
shows on 31 December. From 11:30 pm, the popular Cinemala team will
present a live skit and the show will go on till 2005! The channel
will begin 2005 with Dilse New Year Songs followed by an itnerview
with cine actress Bhavana in the live breakfast show and a concert
by ace singer K J Yesudas. Asianet is telecasting an interview with
Vijayakumar IPS, the police officer who masterminded the gunning
down of forest bandit Veerappan.

The
channel has also lined up an interview with actor Kalabhavan Mani
and a comedy programme Karalam 2004. In the M G Sreekumar-anchored
musical show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa, popular Saikumar will participate
as a special guest. Other than special editions of serial Life is
Beautiful and music programme Pranayageetangal, the channel will
also telecast capsules of new year celebrations from abroad. The
channel will premiere Jayaram-Saundarya starrer Yathrakkarudey Sraddakk
on Saturday.
