MUMBAI: Cricket is hotly followed not only among Indians in India but also among the NRI population.

US-based Echostar Communications and its Dish Network are trying to take advantage of this. They have secured the rights to broadcast the ongoing Holland Cup and The International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy through broadband.

For the Holland Cup where India got off to a poor start against arch rivals Pakistan, Dish has the worldwide broadband rights. For the ICC Champions Trophy it has the broadband rights for the US, Mexico, South America and West Indies. A bundled package costs $249.95. The Holland-Cup-only package is available for $99.95.

In India, the Holland Cup is airing on Max. The ICC Champions Trophy will air next month on the same channel.
