MUMBAI: CNBC–TV 18 has launched a new show called Masterstrokes. The show will have 10 episodes of half hour each and will draw inferences from sports for business and will have thorough in-depth interaction and discussions between sports personalities and businessmen.

The show will be hosted by Harsha Bhogle. The guest line up from the sporting fraternity include Sanjay Manjarekar, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly and Ravi Shastri. From the business community, personalities like Bharat Puri, Niall Booker, Adi Godrej, Uday Kotak, YC Deveshwar and Harsh Goenka will grace the show.

Bhogle flagged off the show at a launch party in Mumbai. The first episode of Masterstrokes will be aired on CNBC – TV18 on 24 August at 8:30 pm with a repeat telecast of the episode on Sundays at 9:30 pm.

Each show will focus and discuss various topics like team building, leadership, managing change, success, handling failure, executing strategies and others that the panelists would address based on their personal experiences.

Said Bhogle, "It was fascinating to see how business leaders, people in control of careers, of major financial conditions, thought about issues that I had seen in the world of sport... especially leadership and team building. We need more of such convergence in society, because, inherently the values that drive people are the same."

CNBC –TV 18 CEO Haresh Chawla said, "Masterstrokes is part of CNBC–TV18's new line-up of dynamic and innovative business programmes, in line with the changing needs of the Indian business viewer. This path-breaking series is yet another example of how CNBC –TV18 continues to make business programming more alluring and compelling for viewers. It is an attempt to connect disparate business audiences by drawing relevant parallels between the competitive worlds of business and sports. Masterstrokes on CNBC – TV 18, anchored by Harsha Bhogle, will delight viewers by bringing together rich insights from sporting legends & business leaders. The series promises to unravel the dimensions of success common to both sports and business – our viewers are bound to profit from this."

The show has been conceived for CNBC - TV 18 by Bhogle's wife Anita.
