Three tech tradeshows in Singapore next year

MUMBAI: Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) today announced that it would host three comprehensive technology tradeshows in Singapore next year: BroadcastAsia 2004, CommunicAsia 2004 and EnterpriseIT 2004.

The shows will be held concurrently at the Singapore Expo from 15-18 June 200

SES, a pioneer of the fast growing and vibrant exhibition industry, is an Asian organiser of trade events with a diverse portfolio of Singapore-based exhibitions and conferences in sectors such as communications, engineering, machinery and lifestyle.

"BroadcastAsia 2004, CommunicAsia 2004 and EnterpriseIT 2004 will be the most complete technology showcase in Asia," said SES chief executive Stephen Tan. "As the region rebounds, businesses are geared up to reconnect with Asia and the world, pursuing their growth strategies and sharpening their competitive edge," he added.

"Till date, we have received bookings for 80 per cent of the floor space in the shows, reflecting the resurgence in the business climate," said Tan, commenting on the positive response for the return of the shows that were cancelled in May 2003 as a result of the SARS outbreak.

According to an official release the industry players who may be present at the 2004 shows include IntelSat, NEC, LG Electronics, Miller Fluids, Tandberg TV, Canal +, SchlumbergerSema and NetScreen among others.

According to Miller Fluid’s marketing manager, Brett Smith, "We are looking forward to BroadcastAsia 2004 and the business opportunities in Asia Pacific it brings for us each year. Every year we make new contacts, but just as importantly, we get to renew acquaintance with our existing customers and also schedule all our regional dealer meetings."

"We're looking forward to being at EnterpriseIT 2004 where we'll be able to meet up with a specific audience - enterprises who are looking for solutions to meet their increasing need for network security. This will be a great platform for us to tap into regional business opportunities," said Asia Pacific, NetScreen Technologies, Inc. senior director of marketing Paul Serrano.
