Michael Douglas to get honourary Golden Globe

LOS ANGELES: With December fast approaching the movie awards season is all set to kick off. One of the first winners is actor Michael Douglas Wall Street.

He will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for career achievement at the 61st edition of the Golden Globes. In India the show will air live on Star World on 26 January in the morning

 
 

Previous recepeints of this award include Harrison Ford and Barbara Streisand. The Golden Globes Awards are presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Nominations will be announced next month. It is considered an important barometer as to what the Academy Awards will nominate.

The nominated film line up for the Golden Globes should include Clint Eastwood's Mystic River, the Sean Penn drama 21 Grams, Fox's sea faring adventure Master And Commander as well as the period piece Sea Biscuit. which is set during the depression era.
