The docu-drama series deals with topics like alcoholism, domestic
violence, dowry, drug abuse, rape and incest that afflict Indian
society. "The series brings to life true stories of criminals, the
problems faced by them and the situations that lead them to commit
crime," says executive producer of Galati Kiski, Anita Varma.
The series has been directed by Anil Sharma and Saurabh Narang.
Interestingly, the series will showcase some new faces (primarily
from the National School of Drama and theatre artists) . "We have
not cast known faces as we want to make the series as close to reality
as possible. Our endeavour is to depict the stories as they are,"
asserts Sharma.
"Doordarshan was the obvious choice to telecast the show as our
main objective is to reach out to the remotest of places. Moreover
, Kiran Bedi has an aura around her and everyone would like to see
her stories, " clarified Anita Varma.
