| The Media Service comprises Discovery's
Production Group, Television Operation Group and Television Technology
Group. The newly formed department will be led by executive vice president
Marcos Obadia, the former senior vice president and general manager
of the Discovery Production Group, says a company release.
Discovery Production Group is the production services division
for both international and domestic channels with centers in both
Miami and Silver Spring. The Television Operations Group manages
the network operations group and network origination services for
Discovery Networks, US, informs the release.
The Media Services will launch a new network origination facility
in Sterling, for the 15 domestic channels in 2005.
