An official release informs that the event focusses on providing

to the professional digital video community. Academy Award winning
cinematographer Haskell Wexler will deliver the keynote address.
One special activity lined up is Digital Video in the Classroom:
How to Increase Communication Skills with DV. This course demonstrates
how to teach communication skills to students using their current
studies and interests' and DV.
DV.com Community Connection: This lets digital video professionals
mingle and network with their peers. It provides an opportunity
for attendees to ask questions directly to the DV.com Forum moderators
and the editors of DV Magazine. The forum tables are broken up by
topics like audio, cameras, lighting.
Another special session will deal with Video Art in the Age
of DV. Museums, galleries, and festivals throughout the world
are embracing the exhibition of video as fine art. The adoption
by artists of digital video tools is creating a creative vocabulary
which merges imagery, typography, sound and setting into yet another
way that producers can get their work funded, presented and distributed.
A panel of artists and writers will discuss their experiences in
the production, presentation and critiquing of this digital hybrid
artform.
Film buffs could check out Producing Digital Hollywood.
This a presentation by the Filmmaker's Central School of Cinema.
The breakout session focusses on producing high concept and high
quality, short or feature projects with a practical "street smarts"
and "old Hollywood" approach to the visually creative DV movie making
process. The class will demystify and define the professional world
of producing motion picture digital entertainment.
