The channel has been picked up by ISH for its popular Active packages.
The German documentary channel Planet is to launch daily blocks
of programming from Reality TV, which will feature on all major
platforms in the German speaking territories reaching over two million
subscribers and mark the expansion of the Reality TV brand into
the German market.
Reality TV recently launched in the US and Asia Pacific. The channel
is currently beamed into 15 million households across the country.
The channel is distributed in India by Zee Turner, the distribution
alliance between Zee Telefilms Ltd and Turner International. The
channel claims a global reach of over 35 million subscribers in
over 125 territories worldwide.
"Reality-based programming with in-depth investigations is an important
part of a diverse documentary channel like Planet. This is why we
selected the programming from Reality TV and chose to broadcast
it with the Reality TV logo to emphasize to our viewers that this
is a new and different type of documentary content," says managing
director James W Wells.
Highlights from the branded blocks include What Went Wrong? a series
that dissects the mysteries surrounding some of the world's most
disastrous events, from air crashes to unexpected mishaps and engineering
miscalculation. Another show, Anatomy of a Crime which reveals the
truth behind some of the worst atrocities ever committed and Disaster
Detectives, a series that presents some of the world's most devastating
avalanches, floods, forest fires, hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanoes
as seen through the eyes of those who have experienced and survived
it all.
Zone Vision currently owns and operates Reality TV, Romantica and
Europa Europa, managing and representing services available to 84.5
million homes in over 125 countries. In addition to its operating
