Lashkara plans slew of new shows for September

MUMBAI: Banking on the popularity for Bollywood personalities, Lashkara has unleashed a series of new shows such as Gup Shup, Lashkara Bollywood Star Nite , Halla Gulla, and Sirf Teri Yaadein for the month of September.

Joining the bandwagon of channels telecasting live shows, the channel aired Lashkara Bollywood Star Nite on 8 September.

This show, recorded live in UAE, showcased performances by film stars Raveena Tandon, Urmila Matondkar and Pooja Batra, and all time hits by singer Abhijeet.

Keeping up with the demand for a glimpse into the Punjabi music and entertainment industry , the channel will air another show called Halla Gulla, a musical bonanza featuring Punjabi artistes Jazzy B and Malkeet Singh with a host of other performers. It will be aired on 22 September at 7.55 pm.

The colloquial Gup Shup, which commenced on 7 September, is a chat show with Punjabi media personalities. This programme, which featured Puja Batra in its first episode, will feature Shakti Kapoor, Dev Anand and Gulshan Grover in coming episodes. This show will be aired Saturdays at 8:30 pm. Sirf Teri Yaadein, another show scheduled to be aired on 17 September at 7.55 pm, is a tribute to the memory of film and television actor late Dilip Dhawan by star personalities Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, sNeena Gupta, director Raman Kumar and Randhir Kapoor.
