CNN launches monthly business travel show

MUMBAI: News broadcaster CNN has announce the launch of a new show targeting the business community. CNN Business Traveller will launch on 13 October and will be hosted by Richard Quest.

Produced in association with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, the show covers every aspect of the transitory lifestyle of busy managers and executives. The first episode, Healthy mind, healthy body, healthy business’enlists the expertise and advice of top UK chef Gordon Ramsay, Olympic hero Sir Steve Redgrave and Intel’s CEO Craig Barrett. The show airs at 8:30 pm with repeats on 17 October at 9:30 pm, 19 October at 7:30 pm Hong Kong time.

 
 

In episode one, Quest visits Singapore to find out more about business travellers and how they should keep healthy. He also finds out about chef Gordon Ramsay’s collaboration with Singapore Airlines and how it has challenged his culinary skills to produce healthy and nutritional food at 35,000 feet. Also in this premiere show, Redgrave runs through a 15 minute work-out that doesn’t require access to a hotel gym and Craig Barrett, CEO of Intel is the first volunteer for what will be a regular segment calledOn the road with’. Barrett takes a digital camera with him on his business travels to produce his own video diary.

Themes for future episodes of this monthly half-hour show include advice on how to develop one’s career whilst on the move and how to keep a healthy balance with one’s home life when so little time is left available for families and loved ones. For those visiting new climates, CNN Business Traveller has the low down on how to fit in with different cultures whilst also showing how to keep healthy when faced with a constant diet of airline food. Each show also features regular segments where contributors consumer test the latest travel gadgets in Road Test and Getting Away gives practical advice on how to switch off and relax while on a business trip.
