 The
27th Rapa (Radio and TV Advertising Practitioners Association
of India Ltd) Awards presentation is to be held in the month
of May, an official release states.
The
Rapa awards for excellence are given for 48 categories and
cover 17 languages. On the language side there has been
one addition this year with Urdu included.
This
year entries in new categories like Music Videos-Film promos,
TV News (Soft Stories) and best anchor/jockeys and mythological
TV programmes have been added.
As
in previous years, entries are invited from directors, script
writers, artists, technicians, ad film producers, radio/TV
programmes, music directors and advertising agencies.
Last
year 60 awards were handed out in various categories. This
year the awards ceremony is scheduled to be held at The
Club in the western Mumbai suburb of Andheri.
The
last date for submission of entries from members and non-members
is 9 March 2002. Forms are available at the Secretariat,
